Broadband Services Availability Checker. The system will tell you if your exchange has been, or will be, equipped for ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) and also will let you know how likely you are to be able to benefit from ADSL. We have announced our plans up to September 2001. Further rollout will depend upon demand - contact your chosen service provider if you require ADSL from a specific area, they will then be able to quantify demand in a specific area which will help BT to prioritise rollout for post September 2001. As ADSL is a distance-dependant technology, this system will give you an estimation only of your ability to receive service from us. If your location, based on the information you enter, is calculated to be within the reach of existing ADSL technology it is likely you will be able to receive service. If the calculations indicate that you may be close to the distance limitations of ADSL technology, you may be able to receive service depending on how close you are to the limits. Finally if the calculations indicate that you are outside the distance limitations, it is unlikely ADSL will reach your location. We will continue to further improve this facility over the next few months. Remember - this is a snapshot of the status today - we will be launching new services in the future and the picture may change. Please note: Postcodes do not match exactly to our exchange area borders. Click
